It's almost time to Trick or Treat! Join us this Saturday October 29th from 1pm to 4pm on the market for Roanoke's second annual Downtown Roanoke Trick-or-Treat event. Grab a map from the Downtown Roanoke Inc table at the entrance to the market area and hit the streets for candy from your favorite Downtown Roanoke businesses. This is a great way to keep the kids safe this Halloween. This event also features a costume contest at 3pm. Trick or Treat from 1pm to 4pm. This is a FREE attraction.

The Roanoke Ghost Tour presented by Haley Toyota will take place in Downtown Roanoke every Saturday in October. Tickets are $13 and the tour will include some of the best stories from our great city's history. Tickets must be purchased in advance of the tour.

Downtown Roanoke Trolleys will take you on a journey full of fun and real ghost stories all over the Roanoke area. In cooperation with the History Museum of Western Virginia we have found the best ghost stories this area has to offer! These riding tours will include some walking to get close to the ghosts so make sure you wear appropriate shoes.

The tours will pick up at the center in the square building entrance on Campbell Ave. between Orvis and The Roanoke Wiener Stand. Tours will last approximately one hour and guests are asked to be on site 20 minutes before the tour start time. Tours start every Saturday in October at 7pm and will continue rain or shine. Bring an umbrella if the forecast is calling for rain. Additional times are available. Please click the Brown Paper Tickets link below for tour times and dates. Children age 3 and under ride free if they sit on a parents' lap during the tour.

Fear returns to Roanoke! The Roanoke Jaycees have announced plans for the group’s annual Haunted House, “Fear Factory”. The Haunted House will be held Thursday through Saturday, on October 20-22 and 27-29 from 7:30-11pm, at 3424-B Orange Avenue (Market Square East) near Pump It Up and Goodwill. The cost of admission is $12, or $11 with a donated canned food item. Thursday nights are “Student Nights” with admission reduced to $10 with valid student ID.
